On the night of 24 March
2020, the Prime Minister of India announced a nation-wide lockdown for the next
21 days. India has been in lockdown ever since. Schools, colleges, offices
and all public places were completely shut and more and more people were learning
ways to stay connected online. Travellers, migrants and hostel students were
confined to states far away from what they called home. The country was in a
state of turmoil and every single Indian who sat in the comfort of their own
homes or on the streets feared what tomorrow would bring.
By God’s grace, my team
and I were in our own homes, safe and sound. We watched the news every day,
each day being worse than the previous. All we could see was Thousands of
deaths, Millions losing hope, humanity being shattered and kindness completely is forgotten. A month passed by, We kept wondering how did human life become
so undervalued and why do people lack empathy or why is it so hard to be kind
to someone you don’t know?
All these thoughts gave
rise to our little caterpillar ‘madhouk.com. We created ‘Madhouk’ hoping to
provide peace, contentment, inspiration and kindness. We are aware neither do
we have the resources or maybe even the wide knowledge to vision ‘Madhouk’ as a
brand. But we were determined to spread kindness and compassion. We started
writing blogs on how to be kind, how to change your personality, how to change
the way you think and much more. Our only aim is and will be to spread hope and
happiness to our fellow readers around the world. (for those of you wondering,
Madhouk is an Arabic word meaning ‘to be toughened or experienced by life’)
We hope to serve you
warmth and love at Madhouk, visit us at Madhouk.com, we will leave you in
awe!!!
