Zooming in to January 2020, around which the unknown virus that had begun its havoc, began surfacing on news portals and social media. However, the news was yet to get viral.

Research is one of my good habits. And because of this habit, I knew and was kind of pre-prepared for this pandemic and lockdown.
Going back to the day when pandemic hadn't been known of yet, to the Indian public, I was in Delhi for some work. I remember I got the news of the unknown COVID-19 had breached India but I had returned back to Jaipur, my hometown by then, guided by my intuition.

Alas! How I had prayed for the infection to never reach to India, but all in vain.

Though I was pre-prepared, the Lockdown did seem quite a long, boring task but given no options, I gradually got habituated.

This lockdown has taught me the most important life lesson is to be self-sufficient.

However, being back to Jaipur with all outside food or any junk food unavailable. So then what?
That was when the 'Aabir conscience' reverted that I should make the most of this opportunity. blessing and disguise. It was on 7th April that I decided to lose some of my weight in the next 90 days.

My biggest realization whilst the process was how careless I was in regard to my health. Working throughout the day and eating junk food had been affecting my health adversely.

Hence, getting back my fitness became of prime focus to me. The gained weight provided me the much-needed motivation to get in better shape.

When I am physically fit, I am more confident. This thought impacted both my personal as well as professional life positively. I pushed myself to try harder.

With the help of youtube videos and good healthy homemade food, I found back the fit and healthy me. The chubby guy just disappeared as I underwent 17 KG weight loss in 90 days!

All of it without any gym memberships or personal trainers. There is no secret to this drastic transformation. Daily Workouts and eating healthy are the keys to this achievement. Besides, I also learned to cook my own meals.

Today as I look back at the pre-lockdown era, I don’t think I would've made a single effort to prepare a meal for myself.

On this journey to healthy realization, I started identifying the importance of being patient. To achieve success in life, being patient is the base of any approach.

Further, all of us must've felt more connected to our families in this phase. So like every other family, I too got close to my family. The feeling of how much my family matters to me felt great.

In this situation, we have 2 options. The first one is just thinking over the situation, and the second is taking it as a blessing in disguise.

I chose the second one.

I found time to work upon and introspect my thoughts and became a better version of myself.

In pre-lockdown, each of us used to complain about the deficit of time. However, that isn't the case anymore. Currently, we have ample time to utilize and do whatever our hearts desire. Not wasting excess of any resources especially time, is something that we all must realize by this experience.

I believe, if we have a firm determination and patience enough to guide us through the correct path, we can accomplish any task at hand.

My motto says,

Don't blabber over things or blame the circumstances,
rather,
'Make it happen'.
