Connecting with my Thoughts during the lockdown

Connecting with my Thoughts during the lockdown

Haven't all of us at some point in time felt tired of running behind materialistic things? The need to get out of the rat race that has transformed the whole earth into an empire, which everyone is trying to conquer.

Conquer through the materialistic things.

We all must have felt the need to just sit and absorb the things that fulfil some missing elements within us.

The element that makes us probe deeper into understanding, who we actually are?

That uplifts our soul and makes us attain mental peace, whilst through the process

For me, this Lockdown was such an experience filled with loads of lessons and introspections. My mental sanity stood the top priority at all times.

Out of all things, my first inclination was towards photography and focusing on my creative side better. Though, I didn't click many pictures earlier, finding it a boring task. However, I did start in the direction without any pieces of equipment, tripods, or people to help out. Now I actually understand that I never needed all this. I click all the pictures just with my mobile camera.

Often, I keep my phone over cushions or hang them somewhere.

Switch the timer ON and Click! Click! Click!

The positive part is that many of the people have asked me to turn these visuals into a coffee table book. I do plan to, but only after I have quite a vast collection of pictures.

Another trust bond, that I have with is the World cinema. Of course, Bollywood is great, but there are things that are beyond as well. There are things above that par.  Acting is one of those aspects.

There are just a few good actors who, it had been in Hollywood, would have been the topmost actors.  They are the best actors in our country, such as Adil Hussain, Manoj Bajpayee, and many more. However, very few are aware of their existence.

I deeply admire the late actor, who was a superstar for me. Credits to my sister, I was able to meet him in person a couple of times. In fact, he is the one due to whom I could view Saturn and moon, through his telescope. A kind soul, he was.

An extremely intelligent guy, and clear-minded. Someone who overcame such great struggles, believing that he is no more amongst us, is hard.

I remember he used to tell me, "Yannea, whenever we think about suicide, it feels like you're actually dying in your subconscious."

There are quite a few more things I'm quite inclined towards.

One of them is writing. Yes. And I have already completed a 250 pages long book amidst the lockdown. The genre, one that interests me, is Science fiction.

It has like 70% fantasy and 30% science in it. I expect to get it published soon.

Another thing, Trekking.

It makes my soul appeased. Being in Himachal, I'm trying out things and living my life to the fullest during this Lockdown. I have trekked difficult mountains over here recently. This not just keeps me fit but also rejuvenates my mind. Though my mountaineering course supposed to happen this year was fizzed out. Credit the lockdown.

Overall, the lockdown was quite a realistic experience for me. I understood that you may not Have any materialistic ownership, but still, you can be the happiest person in the World. The wealth, fame, name are all just illusions to divert our attention from something that is extremely important which is going within ourselves.

There is a need for us to maintain a proper balance between the  'worldly desires' and actual joy imparting activities.

           "As within so without

            As above so below"

If there is no such balance Depression, Suicidal thoughts, Anxiety, and related issues are bound to creep in from beneath.

Hence, I would like to add that If you witness something disturbingly wrong around you, speak for it. Do not sit still, because power is built when you try to get over things. Staying hidden never helps. Stay connected to your mental thoughts, and Never let your Peace be disturbed.
