I was visiting home when the lockdown was announced. It supposed to be just for a week. Things started taking a dark turn and the number of cases went up each day. It was scary. But I was happy to be home! As the days went by, it was necessary to find a vent, a hobby. Initially, it was cooking and then I started doing creative portraits with my brother. Every day we tried new things, new concepts and new props. I’d never thought I would be able to pull this through or ever do it without my brother. This has become like a pet project now.
I am learning so many things everyday about photography and post-processing as well. It’s amusing how simple household items like a colander or a lemon squeezer can bring out such beautiful pictures. This lockdown has helped me reinvent myself and find something that I wish to do more often. This takes me back to the times when we’d build a fort out of bedsheets and play. After all, it’s important to keep the child in you alive!
