Why? - A Lass's thought

Picture of a person's face inside water
"I won't just sleep and eat the whole vacation!
I will learn many things and acquire different skills"
WHY???
Why should we always do, achieve, or acquire something? For a bright future and to gain experiences, Yes!!!
But why!!??
This thought often pops up in my mind.
As a 21-year-old human, we are designed to have too much energy or willingness to do something or to say "Yaar kuch alag to karna he hai".

Youngsters who know their passion or have a vision are working for their goals and are achieving but some of us just can't.
It's time to realize everyone doesn't possess the same interest. Some of us love cooking, some drawing, few may like playing and others trying something new.

In this lockdown, I saw all of my friends doing some internship or online course and similarly, I started some of it and got indulged into it. Later on, I realized that I am not for it. Being productive is surely great but amid all this, I felt like I was running a race. I didn't want to be in a race where we HAVE to push our boundaries and achieve new things.  What are we all running after? Is there a life mark sheet that we have to score 100% on?

Why can't we just simply indulge in the moment, enjoy family time, drown ourselves into the world of books, and live each beautiful character?
Honestly, at the end of the day, all I can imagine is pouring my face into the water and losing myself in its soothing sounds.

I don't know the reason but knowingly or unknowingly there's a strange pressure of achieving things embedded in us. Maybe that's human nature but decades ago humans felt ten times more peaceful just sitting under a tree. Those were the simpler times!
