Your Life! Sixer or Out?

Today, I was playing cricket with my elder brother (Chetan) and her daughter (Jeny). Jeny was batting and my brother was balling, but that lil pal was too young to hit that ball.

When she started missing the ball often, she said to my brother, " Papa you don't know how to ball". You must throw the ball in such a way that it hits my bat directly.
I had an epiphany at that moment.

We know that it's the batsman who has to adjust according to the ball, not the ball according to the batsman.

Now, imagine this as our life. We are the batsman like my lil pal and  When we can't hit the ball (our life's opportunities) we generally comment, "ugh!! life is not fair". But, in reality, life is always full of uncertainty and if we want to hit a six, it's our sole responsibility to adjust accordingly and hit the ball, hard, with all that we've got.

I realized, this lockdown is one such opportunity to reanalyze one's own weakness and strengths and work on it.......let's start witnessing our own journey from being that 13-year-old Sachin in 1988  to 47-year-old Sachin in 2013 in this field of life.
