The Freedom Of The Unheard

Age- 15

As doors shut, as mourning faces close their eyes,
as the tar on the road is silent from lack of use,
there arises a new and unseen flame,
an unheard voice to brighten up one's day.
There is much more than you think within the bars of your windowsills.
The birds chirp at random,
they quietly rejoice their newfound song
As the lighting strikes on a clear night sky and the rain pours down,
the petrichor replaces the burning plastic.
As lights dim and people fall asleep,
then the stars brighten and give light to a world of darkness
By using your voices to fill the air,
How much have you taken away from the beautiful?
You have weighed the ocean down with your waste,
and now, without you, it splashes and churns with joy.
Remember as the heart brings back the musical voice from the sorrow of the world,
How the birds sand and the leaves blew,
and how the voices spoke without you.
Give a voice, don't take away,
Listen to the earth make its way.

Just a gregarious lass who likes to play with words.
