THAT QUORA BIO !!

Today morning after accidentally opening my Quora account and clicking on my profile after  few seconds my Quora bio appeared on the screen and caught my attention, a great sense of nostalgia struck me took me to the time when it all started.Yes the bio reads BHAVYA JHA A NEET ASPIRANT!! 

Cut to exactly 1 year back at some family function in my hometown 

Dad - Bhavya beta start packing your bags we have to leave for Vadodara tomorrow early morning.

ME - Why Papa is there any urgency ?? 

DAD - Yes, the medical college admission is going to start and for that, we have to reach Vadodara at least 2 days before the seat allotment.

silenceeeeeeeeee...........

 

ME- BUT................ PAPA............!! 

Again cut to 2016 my 10th result appeared on the screen, I got good grades so even though being a silver medalist in all India National school games but being a daughter of a science teacher and coming from a family where everyone was from science stream it was pretty obvious for me to opt for science in +2. Being an indecisive child I took maths and bio both but thankfully after experiencing a 2-page trigonometry formula list changed to physics-chemistry- biology. Before the tenth results life was as simple as childhood seemed I was not very much aware and honestly never concerned about my future goals thought life will always remain like this but the upcoming two-three years were knocking at my doorsteps. 

My parents got me admitted in one of the most renowned coaching institutes for Medical entrance. There I got to know about NEET so following my family trend started preparing hard for securing my 1 seat in 15 lakhs eligible candidates. 2018 test scene arrived there was equal pressure for boards as well as NEET however I scored good percentage in CBSE board but NEET rank took a backseat so again following my family trend I took a year drop started preparing hard for NEET but this time I realized something different that medical profession was never meant to be my interest that 1 gap year changed me completely from being an extrovert,  sportsperson and someone with a hobby of making people laugh to....... an introvert, a more indecisive girl and ofcourse all alone person at home. 

 NOW coming Back to the family function I was standing in a sheer sense of anxiety but however, with the help of cousins, I gathered some courage and for the very first time confessed my parents that I don't want to pursue MBBS instead I want to go for Chemistry honors and joining cricket as well. The majority of my relatives present there were shocked when they heard that !!  

BHAVYA BETA COME TO THE BREAKFAST TABLE..... 

my mom called me from behind and suddenly I found myself in the present gazing at the computer screen, Smiled and quickly changed my Quora Bio to BHAVYA JHA A ALL INDIA UNIVERSITY CRICKET NATIONALS SELECTED PLAYER (2020)!!
